舘鼻則孝｜アーティスト
1985年、東京都生まれ。東京藝術大学美術学部工芸科染織専攻卒。創作活動の概念として「Rethink」を掲げ、日本の伝統文化や伝統工芸技法を起点に、現代の価値観を表現する作品制作を行っている。花魁の高下駄から着想を得た代表作《Heel-less Shoes》は、米国歌手レディー・ガガに愛用されたことで世界的に知られている。作品は、ニューヨークのメトロポリタン美術館やロンドンのヴィクトリア・アンド・アルバート博物館などに収蔵されている。
Noritaka Tatehana｜Artist
Born in Tokyo in 1985, Noritaka Tatehana graduated from the Department of Crafts, Faculty of Fine Arts, Tokyo University of the Arts, majoring in dyeing and weaving. Guided by his concept “Rethink,” he creates works that reexamine Japanese cultural traditions and craft techniques through a contemporary lens. His signature work, Heel-less Shoes, inspired by takageta—tall wooden clogs associated with oiran (high-ranking courtesans)—became widely known after being worn by the American singer Lady Gaga. His works are held in the collections of The Metropolitan Museum of Art, New York, and the Victoria and Albert Museum, London.
